How to talk to your counselor:
1. Come to the counseling office and complete a Southridge Request form at the following times: a) before school b) after school c) during lunch.
****Avoid tardies - don't come between classes!****
2. Ask your teacher for a pass to the counseling office to fill out a Southridge Request form for more urgent matters. 3. Fill out a CPR form. You can find these in any of your classrooms. Be sure to sign the form if you want to speak to the counselor about the issue you are reporting. You can download a CPR form HERE. 4. Speak with your counselor during outside duty times at lunch or after school. How the counseling office can help you:

What is the counselor’s role in discipline?
1. Counselors work with Assistant Principals to educate students, prevent disciplinary problems, and to assign discipline consequences to students for a variety of reasons. These are listed in your student agenda—please read it!!! 2. Counselors most often deal with truancy, dress code, defiance, and conflict resolution issues. 3. Students are encouraged to report any school incidents that may interfere with school safety.
****Anonymity is always an option for students who report such incidents****
