School Site Council (SSC) The School Site Council (SSC) is a decision-making body that represents all stakeholders in the school community, including the school Principal, Teachers, other school personnel, parents and students. Their primary responsibility is to identify common goals for student achievement and to assist the leadership team in developing a plan to achieve the goals. School Site Councils operate under the direction and with the approval of the Board of Education. As the school leadership team and SSC develop, monitor and revise the Single Plan for Student Achievement, the SSC allocates resources to support the plan.
